What we Do
We empower girls to learn, single mothers to rise, orphans to find love and belonging and empower young people with digital skills

We Empower Girls to Learn
Education is more than books and classrooms—it is freedom. For many girls, the path to education is blocked by the heavy weight of cultural traditions, early and forced marriages, poverty, and exploitation. These barriers steal their childhoods, silence their voices, and deny them the chance to dream.
At Hilda Chisi Foundation, we believe education is the strongest weapon against these injustices. When a girl learns, she doesn’t just pass exams—she breaks cycles of poverty, she delays marriage, she protects her health, she gains confidence, and she claims her rightful place in society. Every lesson learned is a mountain moved, every classroom entered is a chain broken.
We walk beside these girls, ensuring they have the tools, opportunities, and safe spaces to not just survive, but to thrive. Because when a girl is empowered to learn, she is empowered to live—and her entire community is transformed.
We Empower Single Mothers to Rise
Behind every struggling single mother is a silent battle—a fight to feed her children, clothe them, educate them, and give them hope for a future she is not sure she can provide. Without financial independence, many mothers are forced into cycles of poverty, dependency, and despair.
Through our Hands for Purpose initiative, we declare: “These hands were created with purpose—not for begging, but for building.” We equip single mothers with practical, income-generating skills—tailoring, agriculture, crafts, entrepreneurship—that allow them to stand tall, provide for their families, and break free from dependency.
When a mother rises, her children rise with her. When her hands create, her household thrives. At the Hilda Chisi Foundation, we believe that empowering mothers is not charity—it is legacy building. Because when single mothers rise, entire generations are lifted.

We Empower Orphans to Find Love and Belonging
The heart of this vision was birthed out of Hilda Chisi’s own story. Though not an orphan, she grew up without her biological parents—who were alive, yet absent. She knew the ache of longing for love, guidance, and a sense of home. That experience left a deep conviction in her: every child deserves not just care, but a family where they are wanted, cherished, and guided to thrive.
An orphan’s greatest need is not just a roof over their head—it is the assurance that they are seen, known, and loved. Too many children grow up in institutions where survival is the goal, but belonging is missing. They are fed, yet lonely; sheltered, yet without a family to call their own.
At the Hilda Chisi Foundation, we believe every child deserves more than survival—they deserve a home. Through My Father’s House, we are building self-sustaining family homes where children are raised in love, with dedicated mother figures providing care, stability, and guidance. Here, orphans are not statistics; they are sons and daughters with dreams, laughter, and a future.
We create environments where children can heal, learn, and thrive—where they are not defined by what they have lost, but by the love and opportunities they gain. Because every child deserves not just shelter, but a place where they truly belong.

We Empower Young People to Step Into the Digital Future
In a world increasingly driven by technology, too many young people in Malawi—and across similar parts of the world—remain cut off from the digital revolution. The Hub exists to bridge this gap. We equip young people, both girls and boys, with digital literacy, coding, and entrepreneurial skills that prepare them to participate meaningfully in the global economy.
The Hub is more than a training center—it is a launchpad. Here, young minds gain the tools to innovate, compete, and create opportunities beyond the limits of geography. By empowering this generation with digital skills, we are not just preparing them for jobs of today, but unlocking their potential to become leaders and changemakers of tomorrow.
